We start with a new document in adobe photoshop,
Width:550px
Height:700px

Use the radial gradient and add with these colors: #2b2a2a (dark grey) and #4dec45 (shiny green) the first background color. Start from the left top and go down to the right bottom.

It’s time to add our first effect. Clouds! ( filter -> render -> clouds ) Then you got something like this..

Now we add some noise to the design (filter -> noise -> add noise). Amount = 12,5 & Distribition = uniform. After this we add some movement to the noise. For the movement we just add some wind effect on it (filter -> stylize -> wind). Repeat (ctrl + f) this action over 20 times so you have something like this….

Let’s add some texture in the design. Copy this texture from Bittbox.com. Paste the texture under the design we made. Unlock the background first by double clicking on it. Then move our design to the top of the layers. Change the opacity to 90% and choose the multiply effect.

For the shadow effects on both sides we go back to our first color #2b2a2a (dark grey) and take the gradient tool. Create a new layer first and choose the gradient as shown in the picture below and draw some lines from the right bottom corner to the left upper corner. Repeat this from the left upper corner to the right lower corner. And change the layer effect to luminosity.

Copy this second texture from bittbox.com. Add it in front of all the other layers and change the opacity to 11%.

Now we need the skateboard template. This can be downloaded here from this Deviantart website. It will automaticelly open in photoshop. Go and find the layer 2 and make a selection of it. Do this by holding down the ctrl button and clicking the imageframe in the layers frame. The skateboard size is a bit to large so we change it to (image -> image size) 750px in height. Now copy the background we made and use paste into in the skateboard selection we made.

You can see the finished result on top of this page. Experiment with colors and add some nice designs or text to the board as you please…
